Who we are
FosterWave™ is a national fostering-awareness campaign for England, run in partnership with FosterTalk. We help connect would-be foster carers with their local fostering provider, and we give the public a way to publicly support fostering.
What we collect
- Campaign supporters: your name, email address, an optional message of support, and (for groups or businesses) optional organisation details and logo.
- Foster-carer enquiries: your name, email, phone number, postcode, and any message you share.
- Basic technical information (e.g. timestamps) when you interact with the site.
How we use your information
- To run the FosterWave campaign and keep you updated about it.
- To display public support on the Supporter Wall — only your name, message and logo are ever shown publicly. Your email and phone number are never shown.
- To connect foster-carer enquiries with the relevant local fostering provider so they can contact you.
Lawful basis and consent
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on our forms. You can withdraw consent at any time and ask us to remove your details — just email us (see below).
Who we share data with
If you submit a foster-carer enquiry, your details are shared with your local fostering provider so they can get in touch. FosterWave also keeps the master record of supporters and enquiries to coordinate the national campaign. We do not sell your data to anyone.
Data retention and security
We keep your information for as long as the campaign is active or as long as needed to keep you in touch with your local provider. Data is stored securely on our cloud backend with industry-standard protections.
Emails
Any campaign emails we send you will include a clear opt-out option. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Contact and removal requests
To request a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted, email rolfepearce@msn.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
